Minrva Hair Parlour

The shop is right here in Mani Plaza on the Hira Bajar Main Road. It’s a busy spot in Mahidharpura and sometimes the noise from the street comes right through the front door. We have been cutting hair here for quite a while now. Most days start with sweeping up the floor and getting the chairs ready before the first person walks in. It isn't a huge place, just a few mirrors and the tools we need for the job. We see a lot of people from around the neighborhood. Some guys have been coming to us since they were kids. It’s funny seeing them grow up and now they bring their own sons. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. We do regular haircuts, shaves, and the usual stuff you’d expect at a local parlour. In the afternoons, when the sun is hitting the main road, it gets a bit warm inside, so we keep the fans going at full speed. People stop by to chat even if they aren't getting a trim, just to see what's happening in the market. We just try to get the work done right so people come back next month. There isn't much more to it than that. We open up in the morning and stay until the last customer is finished in the evening. Most days are the same, which is fine with us.
