Matrukrupa Jyotish

Matrukrupa Jyotish is tucked away in Nanpura on Palia Street. This is one of those old parts of the city where the streets are narrow and you can smell the food cooking from the houses nearby. I have been sitting in this same spot for a long time seeing people come and go. They bring their birth charts and their worries about the future or their families. The room is quiet and it has the smell of incense that I light every morning when I open the door. I don't have any computer screens or flashy lights here. It is just me and the books and the people who need a bit of guidance. Sometimes a whole family comes in and we have to squeeze together around the small table. The street outside is always full of people walking and scooters zooming past but inside it stays peaceful enough to think. I do my work by hand most of the time because that is how I learned it. It is a very personal thing when someone shares their life problems with you. I just listen and look at what the stars are doing. People know where to find me on Palia Street because I have been here so long. It is a simple life and I don't need much to keep going. I just keep the books organized and wait for the next person to knock on the door. It is honest work for me.
