Maheshwar Dairy Sweets

We open up early at Maheshwar Dairy Sweets on the corner of Wakad Road in Althan Vishal Nagar. It is usually quiet at dawn but then people start coming for milk. The shop gets busy fast after the sun comes up. We spend most of the day behind the counter or back in the kitchen area. It is a bit loud with the traffic outside on the main road. Most folks around Althan know where we are located. We have been here for a while now. The trays of sweets get filled every single morning. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky or dusty from the road, but we try to keep up with it. It’s just how things go in this business. You see the same faces every day, which is nice for us. Some people just want a quick lassi or some curd for their lunch at home. We do not have fancy decorations or anything. Just the basic fridge and the shelves for the bottles. The lights can be a bit bright in the evenings. It gets very hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front window directly. We just keep working through it. If you walk down Wakad Road, you will see our sign hanging there. It is nothing special to look at. Just a local spot where people get what they need for their families. We talk to the regulars about the weather or the traffic. It is a simple life running a dairy.
