Madhav Ice Cream & Juice

Madhav Ice Cream & Juice is located right where Varachha Road meets the Basant Vihar and Noorwala Road area. It’s a bit of a crossroads, so there is always something going on outside our door. We started this place because we wanted to have something local for people to grab a drink or a scoop. Besides the ice cream, we do a lot of fresh juices, which people really want when it's dusty and hot outside. The shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got a couple of benches where people can sit for a minute if they aren't in a hurry. Most of our customers are just passing through on their way to work or heading home. We keep the fruit piled up near the front so people can see what’s fresh. It’s a lot of work peeling and prepping everything every day, but it keeps us busy. We don't use any fancy machines, just the basic stuff that works for us. The neighborhood around Noorwala Road has a lot of energy. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if there are people still walking around. We don’t really have a big philosophy or anything. We just sell juice and ice cream and try to keep the place cool. It’s a basic business, but it’s ours and we like being part of the street life here. We hope to stay here for many more years to come and serve the neighbors.
