Madam Beauty Parlour

You can find Madam Beauty Parlour at 3/18 in Safaliya Society. We’re right off Udhna Main Road in the Satya Nagar area. It’s a bit of a walk from the main street, but it stays a little quieter that way. The shop is basically a small room we’ve set up for the local women. We have a couple of stations for threading and hair work. It isn’t like those big salons you see in the malls. We use simple tools and keep things very basic. Most of our neighbors come in when they have a wedding to go to or if they just need their eyebrows done. We have a small curtain for privacy, and some chairs for waiting. Sometimes we run out of tea, which is always a bit of a problem when customers are waiting. The walls are painted a light color, but they could probably use a fresh coat soon. We don’t have any fancy signs outside, just the name so people know where to go. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands get tired by the end of the day. But we like being in the society. It feels safe and everyone knows each other. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a place for women to get sorted out. It has been our daily life for years and we hope to stay here.
