Maa Chamunda Jyotish

It is just a small place here in Palanpur at Nd 73 637 where we spend our days looking at birth charts and stars. Maa Chamunda Jyotish isn't a big fancy office with carpets and expensive lights. Most of the time, the fan is humming and there are papers scattered across the desk. Neighbors walk in when they have a worry or just want to know if a wedding date is okay. We sit down, have some tea, and look at the numbers together. It gets a bit noisy outside sometimes with the traffic, but inside we try to keep things calm. My father taught me how to read the positions of the planets when I was young, and I just kept doing it. There isn’t much to tell really. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait to see who comes through the door. Some people stay for an hour talking about their kids or their work. It’s a lot of listening. Sometimes the ink in the pens runs out right when I’m writing a note, or the chair squeaks every time I move. That is just how it is. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this physical spot. People know the address and they just show up when they need someone to look at their horoscope. It is simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning till sunset.
