Krishna Dairy & Sweet

We've been here on Dumas Road 5 for a while now. Most mornings start pretty early, usually before the sun is even up properly. That is when the milk arrives and we have to get everything moved inside. It gets quite busy with people stopping by for their morning tea milk or maybe some curd for lunch. We keep the sweets in the glass counter near the front so everyone can see what is fresh that day. Sometimes the fridge makes a bit of noise, but you get used to it after a couple of hours. The floor needs a lot of washing because of the spills, especially when we are busy during the festivals. People from around the neighborhood know us by now. They come in, chat for a minute about the weather or the traffic on Dumas Road, and then go on with their day. We try to keep the shelves stocked with the usual things people need like butter or paneer. It is not a very big place, just enough room for the counters and a few people to stand. In the afternoons, it slows down a bit and that is when we do most of the cleaning or reorganize the containers. Some days are hotter than others, which makes it tough to keep everything cool, but we manage. We just do our work, talk to the regulars, and make sure the shop is ready for the next morning. It is a simple routine really and it keeps us busy enough.
