Kedia Computer Designing

Being up on the ninth floor at 901 on Ghod Dod Road gives us a pretty good view of Surat, especially when the traffic starts backing up in the evening. Kedia Computer Designing isn’t a huge studio or anything, just a few of us sitting at desks that are way too small for all the monitors we have. The air conditioner is always running because the computers put out so much heat, and the room usually smells a bit like ozone and coffee. Ghod Dod Road is a fancy area, but our office is pretty basic inside. We have cables running across the floor that we have to be careful not to trip over. Most days we are just staring at screens, clicking away and trying to get the lines right. It’s quiet work, mostly. Sometimes we go down to the street level just to get some fresh air and see the crowds. The elevator in this building is really slow, so you end up talking to people from the other offices while you wait. We’ve been here for a couple of years now and the carpet is starting to look a bit thin near the door. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like the technical side of things. We don't have any big decorations on the walls, just some old sketches and a clock that’s five minutes fast.
