Jay Enterprise

Being up on the third floor of the Radha Krishna Textile Market can be a bit of a journey if the elevator is acting up again. Jay Enterprise is located in units R-9016-17-18 and it’s a big space filled with a lot of fabrics and the smell of new textiles. Mahal Industrial Estate is always buzzing with activity and the Ring Road outside is constantly packed with trucks carrying goods all over Surat. We have windows that look out over the roofs of the other buildings but mostly we are looking at the piles of cloth we have to sort through. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything in such a big market and sometimes the paperwork gets a little overwhelming. We don't have any fancy carpets or soft chairs here because this is a place for business and moving products. Jay Enterprise is where we spend ten or twelve hours a day just making sure the orders are ready and the samples look right. The air in the textile market is always a little bit thick with lint but you stop noticing it after the first hour. Most of our days are spent on the phone or talking to traders who come up to see what we have in the current batch. It's a tough business sometimes but we’ve been doing it a long time here in Surat and we know how the market works.
