Jagdamba Ice Cream Parlour

Jagdamba Ice Cream Parlour is situated right on Varachha Road, near the Bhairavnath Mandir. Being so close to the temple means we get a lot of people stopping by after they’ve finished their prayers. It’s a good spot to be in, especially during festivals when the whole street is packed with people. We’ve been here for several years. The shop is just a basic parlour with some chairs. It’s not fancy, and we don’t have any of those modern decorations you see in the mall. We just have our freezers and our customers. My family helps me run it most days. We get to know the regulars pretty well since they come in almost every week. The traffic on Varachha Road can be a bit loud, but inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of the freezers humming. We try to keep a few different flavors in stock, whatever people seem to like most that month. We don't really do any big promotions. We just open up in the morning and stay until we’re tired. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the community here. If you’re ever near the Mandir and want to sit down for a minute with something cold, you can find us at number 6. We’re usually around, just doing our daily chores and waiting for the next customer to walk through the door. It is a simple place to visit for the locals.
