Ideas Designer Space

Our office, Ideas Designer Space, is up on the first floor of the Amizara Complex. We are at number 17, right in the Athwalines area of Surat. It’s a good location, especially being right beside the Surat Tennis Club. You can often hear the sounds from the club while we are working away. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but once you’re inside, it’s a comfortable enough space. We’ve got a couple of large tables where we spread out our designs and sketches. It’s not a high-end studio with glass walls; it’s just a place where we sit down and think. We’ve been in Athwalines for a good amount of time, so we know the local shops and where to get the best tea in the morning. Our days are mostly filled with drawing, making calls, and checking on how things are progressing. Sometimes the office gets a bit cluttered with samples and catalogs, but we manage. We don't really go for the big sales pitch. Usually, people just come in, sit down, and we talk about what they’re looking for. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We appreciate the natural light that comes into the room in the mornings. It’s just a regular bunch of us trying to make sense of design challenges. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just do the work and hope people like the results.
