Being on Ring Road means things are always moving outside. Our place is Sitafalwadi 614. Icon Architects & Urban Planners sounds like a big operation, but we’re just a regular group of people working in a regular office. We do urban planning too, so we have these huge maps that take up almost all the wall space. It makes the rooms feel smaller than they are. Sitafalwadi 614 is a busy spot, and sometimes the noise from the road comes right through the glass. You get used to it after a week or two. We have a lot of meetings about things like zoning and how streets should look, which can get pretty dry, to be honest. But it’s the work we do. There’s always a lot of tea going around because the days can get long. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with suits and fancy titles. Most of us are in jeans and just trying to get the drawings finished before the sun goes down. The office is a bit cluttered with models and old files from years ago that we probably should throw out. But it feels like home to us. If you’re around Ring Road, you’ll see our building. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, but we get the job done inside. We've been here for quite some time now, and we've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around Sitafalwadi.
