Hari Om Sweets And Dairy is our small place on Margha Farm Road. We are in the Bapu Nagar area of Ahmedabad, specifically at A/122 in Godadara Satyanarayan Nagar. It is a mouthful to say the whole address. Our day starts very early, way before the sun is up. That is when the milk containers arrive and we have to move them inside. It is heavy work and we are usually sweating before breakfast. The shop is quite small and we have a lot of fridges that take up space. They hum loudly all day long. We make sweets in the back room when we have time. It is a messy process with flour and milk getting on everything. We try to keep it clean but it is a constant battle. The road outside is often dusty and there are always cows or bikes passing by. We know most of the people who live in Satyanarayan Nagar. They come by for their daily milk or a little something sweet after dinner. We don't have a website or a phone that rings all the time. People just walk up to the counter. We aren't trying to grow into a big company. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. Some days are harder than others when the heat is bad, but we just keep the fans running and stay busy. We close the shutters when the milk runs out.
