Gopal Dairy And Sweet

We are located over in Katargam, specifically near the 5th Block on 17th G Main. It’s a busy little spot. Every morning the milk arrives and we start getting the curd and lassi ready. The smell of sugar and milk is pretty much always there. We have a few trays of sweets in the glass case, whatever we made fresh that day. It isn't a huge shop, so when four or five people come in at once, it feels full. We try to keep the floors wiped down because things get sticky fast with all the syrup. The fridge hums quite loud in the back. Sometimes the labels on the bottles are a bit crooked because we do it all by hand. We aren't some big factory. Most of the neighbors come by for their morning milk or a box of pedas when they have guests. We use the same recipes we’ve had for a long time. Nothing fancy, just the basic stuff that tastes right. The door stays open to let some air in, but it gets warm near the stoves. It's a lot of standing around and waiting for customers, then a big rush in the evenings. We just keep the milk cold and the sweets fresh. That’s pretty much the whole story. We just hope the lassi is cold enough for everyone. It is a simple life here between the milk cans and the sugar.
