Famina Hair Care

Famina Hair Care is my small shop located at Shop No 4 in Rameshwar Society. We are on Khodiyar Nagar Road, which connects directly to the main Varachha Road here in Surat. This area is always full of life and people working very hard. I opened the shop because there weren't many places nearby that offered decent hair care at a price locals could afford. It’s just a single room with the basic equipment we need to do our work. Most of my day is spent cutting hair or helping people get ready for local weddings and events. We have a lot of families from the Rameshwar Society who have been coming to us since we opened. It’s nice because I’ve seen many of the kids grow up and now they bring their own children in for haircuts. The 395006 area is very industrial and busy, so the shop is a place where people can sit down for a bit and talk while they wait their turn. We don't have an appointment system really, people just show up and wait. I keep a few old magazines and newspapers around for them to read. It’s a simple life, but it keeps me busy and pays the bills. The road outside can be quite dusty with all the trucks, but once you’re inside, it’s just us. I’m proud of what I’ve built here in Varachha for the community.
