Fairy Beauty Parlour

Fairy Beauty Parlour is tucked away in the Shankheshwer Complex over in Kailash Nagar. It’s in the Sagrampura area, right across from that big Raymond Showroom that everyone knows. I usually walk to work because I live close by, which makes things easier for me. Inside, the room is quite compact, but there's enough room for a few chairs and the various things we need for hair and skin. Sometimes the light in the complex is a bit dim in the morning, so I have to make sure all the bulbs are working before the first person arrives. We get a lot of ladies from the Sagrampura neighborhood coming in. Some have been coming for years, back when we first opened up the place. It's nice because we end up talking about local news and what's happening in the market. I keep a stack of old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones these days while they wait. Across the street, you can see people going in and out of the showroom all day long. Our sign is visible from the main path, so new people find us eventually. It’s a bit of a climb if you’re coming from the other side of the complex, but it’s not too bad once you're used to it. I try to keep the place tidy, though the hair always seems to find its way into the corners no matter how much I sweep. It’s just how it is.
