Our little spot here in Kumbharia F2 is usually full of wires and old computer towers. It is not the cleanest place because there is always some machine being taken apart on the main table. We spend most of our hours looking at screens or trying to figure out why a fan is making a weird grinding noise. People bring in their laptops when they won't turn on or if they spilled something on the keyboard. We do our work as we get it. Sometimes it takes a day, sometimes a week if we have to wait for a part to arrive from somewhere else. The lighting inside is a bit bright because we need to see those tiny screws on the motherboards. Those things are so easy to lose if you aren't careful. We keep some keyboards and mice on the shelf for people who need a quick replacement. It gets a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. We just tell them to wait a minute while we finish up what we are holding. It’s mostly just us sitting here with the hum of the machines in the background. We don’t really do much talking unless someone asks a question about their hard drive. It can be a bit boring when the internet goes slow, but there is always something to clean or a cable to wrap up. We just keep going until it is time to lock the shutters for the night and go home to rest.
