Dolly Beauty Parlour

Dolly Beauty Parlour is sitting at shop number 14 in the Trishul Complex. This is right in the Udhanagaon area of Surat, which is always moving and shaking. It’s a standard commercial complex, so there are all kinds of shops around us. We are just one small part of that mix. The shop is straightforward. We have the numbered door, and inside, it’s all set up for hair and skin work. I’ve been in Udhanagaon for a bit, and I’ve seen how the area has grown. Our space is cozy, maybe a bit small if three or four people are waiting, but we make it work. I don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. If someone needs a haircut, they sit down and I cut it. If they want their skin cleaned, we do that. Most of our clients are local workers or people living in the nearby blocks. They aren't looking for a luxury spa; they just want a reliable place that’s close to home. The walls have some simple decorations, and I keep the radio on low sometimes. It’s a bit dusty outside because of the road, so I’m always wiping down the glass to keep things looking decent. It’s just a regular local business where we put in the hours and try to do a solid job for everyone who stops by during their busy day.
