Dhv Bags

Our little spot is at 38/7 Athwagate Circle. If you’ve ever stood at the circle, you know how the traffic just keeps spinning around. We’re right in the thick of it. At Dhv Bags, we mostly just deal with all kinds of luggage and carryalls. You’ll see bags hanging from the ceiling and stacked against the walls. We have those sturdy ones for trekking and the little fancy ones for weddings. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so we have to be careful about the colors fading on the display pieces. We spend our mornings dusting off the leather and checking the buckles. It’s a simple business. We don't have any big corporate plans; we just want to make sure the bags we sell don't fall apart after a week. Sometimes people come in with a broken handle and we see if we can help them out. The floor is a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day, but that’s fine. We like the noise of the circle, it makes the day go by faster. If you’re walking past the Athwagate area, you can pop in and look around. There’s no pressure. We just sit here, talk to the neighbors, and keep an eye on the bags. It’s a decent way to spend the day in this part of town.
