Our shop is tucked away at Plot No. 47 in the Himat Nagar Society, right in the Hira Baug area of Varachha Road. If you know this part of Surat, you know how packed the streets get with people and vehicles. It’s always loud outside, but inside we’re mostly focused on security cameras and computer parts. We spend a lot of time unboxing new gear or testing out DVRs to make sure they actually record right. The workspace is a bit cramped because we have so many boxes stacked up, but it works for us. Usually, there’s a couple of us working on a laptop repair while someone else is planning out a camera layout for a customer. We don’t really do big advertisements; people just find us because we’ve been at this spot for a while. Sometimes the electricity acts up on Varachha Road, which can be a pain when you're in the middle of something. We just grab a chai from the stall nearby and wait it out. It’s a local business through and through, nothing corporate about it. We’re just regular guys who know our way around a motherboard and a surveillance system. It’s a lot of manual work, pulling cables and climbing ladders, but someone has to do it. We’re just glad to be part of the neighborhood here and keep the local shops and homes a bit more secure.
