City Light Hair Art

Our place, City Light Hair Art, is at Shop L-1 in the Rajlaxmi Apartments. This is in the City Light area of Surat, right across from Agrasen Bhavan. It’s a nice part of the city to be in. The shop is on the lower level, so you have to walk down a few steps to get to us. It’s a cozy space, not too big but not too small either. We have three chairs and some big mirrors on the wall. The lighting is okay, just regular bulbs that keep things bright enough for us to work. We do mostly haircuts and beard trims for the guys in the apartments nearby. It’s a pretty quiet shop compared to the ones on the main roads. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. There's a small TV in the corner that we keep on for the news or some cricket. Most of our customers are regulars who live within walking distance. We don't have a receptionist, so we just handle everything ourselves. If we are busy, people just wait their turn on the plastic chairs we have near the door. The floor is tiled and we keep it as clean as we can. We don't do any big promotions or use fancy products. It’s just simple hair cutting for the local residents. We’ve been here for a bit and we like the neighborhood. It’s a steady, honest way to make a living.
