Challenger Classes

You can find us at B/16 Piyush Point in the Pandesara area of Surat. We are right opposite J P Bakery, which usually smells pretty good in the mornings when they are baking. Our spot is just a regular shopfront converted into a classroom space. It’s a busy part of Surat, so there’s always something happening outside. Inside, it’s a different story. We try to keep it focused so the students can actually hear what’s being said. We’ve got benches and some boards, and that’s about it. We started this because we saw a lot of kids in Pandesara needing a bit of extra help with their schoolwork. It’s not a corporate office with a lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and we’re there. We spend a lot of time grading papers and explaining math or science problems. Some evenings get really crowded, and we have to squeeze everyone in. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have fans running all the time. We aren’t interested in being fancy. We just want to do the work. Most of our students live within walking distance, so it’s a real local community feel. We know most of the parents by their first names. It’s just how we run things here. There is no big secret to it, we just show up every day and teach whoever walks through the door.
