Study Island

Our setup is based in Bhagavati Ashish on Citylight Road. We use the units M/20 and 21. It’s a nice enough building and the area is usually pretty active. We’ve been running Study Island at Bhagavati Ashish on Citylight Road for a long time now. The space is split across those two units, so we have a bit of room to breathe. One side is usually for the younger kids and the other for the older ones. It’s not some polished corporate center. We have some old posters on the walls and the floor is a bit worn in places where the chairs move around. We spend our days mostly looking at math problems and science chapters. Citylight Road is a busy place, so there’s always something going on outside. We try to keep the focus inside on the work at hand. We don't have a big team of administrators; it’s mostly just us handling the teaching and the phone calls. Sometimes we run late because a student needs extra help with a difficult concept. That’s just part of the job. We don't follow any grand mission statement or anything like that. We just want the kids to finish their homework and understand what they are reading. It’s a practical, everyday kind of place. If you're near Bhagavati Ashish, you’ll see our small sign by the entrance. We’ve been part of the landscape here for a long time, just doing our thing.
