Calcutta Bearing & Mill Store

Our store, Calcutta Bearing & Mill Store, is at 7 Dindoli East End on the B Main Road. This road is always busy with big trucks and buses going past, so it gets quite dusty and loud. We keep a large stock of bearings and various parts that people need for their mills and machines. The shop is filled with heavy metal shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It is a bit dark inside because the shelves block some of the light, but we have a few bright bulbs hanging down. Everything in here has a bit of an oily feel to it, but that is just how it is when you work with metal parts all day. I have been running this place for many years now and I have a helper who helps me lift the heavier boxes. We have a small wooden counter where we talk to our customers and look through old catalogs to find the right part numbers. Sometimes it takes a while to find exactly what someone needs, but we usually get there in the end. We don't have any air conditioning, so we just keep the door open and have a big fan running. It can get very hot in the summer, but we are used to it. People come to us because they know we have what they need to get their machines running again. It is a basic, hardworking shop and we are proud to be part of the community here in Dindoli.
