Bhagwati Hair Dressers

Our shop is at number 6/536 in Gale Mandi Bajar, right in the heart of Mahidharpura. This is an old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow and crowded. You have to navigate through the market to find us, but most people in the area know the way. We are traditional hair dressers. The shop is small and has that old-school feeling to it. We have been here for many years, through all kinds of weather and changes in the market. There are usually two or three of us working at the chairs. We don't have air conditioning or fancy reclining seats, just the standard barber chairs that have been here forever. The walls have a few pictures on them and the mirrors show their age a little bit, but they work fine. We do simple haircuts and shaves for the men who work in the Bajar. It’s a noisy place with people shouting and bikes honking outside all day long. We take our tea breaks when there is a gap between customers. We don't bother with any advertising. People know we are here and they know what to expect. It’s a practical, no-nonsense shop. We appreciate the regulars who have been coming to us for decades. We just keep our scissors sharp and our hands steady. That’s how we have always done things.
