Barbie Look Beauty Parlour

Barbie Look Beauty Parlour is tucked away in room 401 of Ambica Apartment in Dumbhal. It’s not on the main street, so you have to know where you are going to find us. We are close to Karuna Sagar School, which means we hear the kids playing during recess and when school lets out in the afternoon. Being on the fourth floor is a bit different for a beauty parlour, but we have our regulars who come up the stairs or use the lift. It’s a small place where we do mostly basic stuff for the women in the neighborhood. Surat 395002 is a busy area, but our little corner inside the apartment building is usually a bit calmer. We spend our time doing threading, hair, and sometimes skin stuff for weddings if someone asks us. The room has good light coming through the windows. It’s just a simple setup with the chairs and things we need. Sometimes we have tea and chat with the ladies who come in for their appointments. It’s more like a home than a big business. We don't have any fancy decorations or expensive signs. Just the chairs and the mirrors and our supplies on the shelves. It gets hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. It’s a long walk up if the lift isn't working, but people don't seem to mind much. We just keep working through the day at a steady pace here in Dumbhal.
