Bapa Sitaram Ice Cream & Juice

We are right here on Varachha Road, down near Adajan Hazira Road 22. It is a busy spot. Most mornings start with checking the fruit crates that come in. If the mangoes are too soft, they go. If they are good, we peel them. The shop isn't huge, but it gets the job done when it is hot outside. We have been in this area for a while now. People know the sign. Sometimes the freezer makes a humming noise that is a bit loud, but you get used to it after an hour or two. My cousin helps me behind the counter most days. We spend a lot of time just keeping the floors clean because of the sticky juice drips. It happens. You try to wipe it up fast, but sometimes you miss a spot until later. The blender is old but it still works fine for the shakes. We don't have fancy chairs or anything, just a few places to sit while you wait. When the sun goes down, the street gets even busier with people coming home from work. They stop by because it is on the way. We keep the lights on until late most nights. Sometimes we run out of certain flavors by eight o’clock. It depends on how the day goes. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the fridge stays cold for the next day.
