I’m based out of 102 Adajan Dn Gupta Chawl on Mahakali Caves Road. It’s right there at Naiteek Residency. My setup is pretty basic, just enough to get the job done every day. I’ve lived and worked around here for a long time so I know the area like the back of my hand. The street outside is always busy with people going to and from work. Usually, I’m at my desk by nine and I don’t leave until it gets dark. People stop by to talk or ask for help with different things. It’s a lot of sitting and listening and trying to sort out problems. The room gets a bit warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the window, but a small fan keeps things moving. I don’t use any complicated systems, just a pen and some notebooks and my old computer. It’s a one-man show mostly. I like the independence of it. You see a lot of the same faces every day which is nice. Sometimes I take a walk down the road just to get some air and see what’s happening. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s just a room in a building where work happens. I try to be fair with everyone who comes through the door. It’s about being a neighbor and doing what I can.
