Amul Scopping Parlour

We run the Amul Scopping Parlour here in Surat. You can find us on 2nd Street, right on Old Cementary Road. It’s a small shop but it’s a favorite for people who want something cold on a hot afternoon. We have the usual tubs of ice cream and we spend most of our time scooping it out into cones or cups. It’s a sticky job, especially when the place gets full of kids after school let out. The freezers hum all day long to keep everything frozen, which is the main sound you’ll hear in here. We don't have a lot of fancy seating, just a few spots if you want to eat your ice cream before it melts in the Surat heat. Old Cementary Road is usually quiet enough, but we get our fair share of foot traffic. Sometimes we run out of the popular flavors like chocolate or mango, and we just have to tell people to try something else until the next delivery truck comes. It’s a simple business. We keep the place clean and make sure the scoops are ready to go. People come in for a quick treat and then go on their way. We’ve been at this 2nd Street spot for a while, and the locals know us pretty well by now. It isn't a high-end cafe, just a regular Amul parlour where the ice cream is cold and the service is quick. We usually have a few extra napkins ready because things can get messy with the melting cones.
