Amrut Dairy & Sweet

Our shop, Amrut Dairy & Sweet, is located on Varachha Road at Valam Nagar, unit 24 and 25. Every morning starts very early for us, usually before the sun is even up. We have to get the fresh milk delivered and start preparing the sweets for the day. Varachha Road is always busy, but in the early hours, it’s mostly just us and the other food shops getting ready. We have large glass counters filled with different kinds of barfi, peda, and other treats. The smell of boiling milk and sugar is always in the air. We don't use fancy packaging with gold foil; we just use simple boxes and tie them with a bit of string. It’s a family-run place and you can usually find one of us behind the counter from morning until late at night. Sometimes we run out of a particular sweet by the afternoon and have to tell customers to wait for the next batch. We try to keep everything as clean as possible, but it’s a constant job with so many people coming in and out. We don’t have a social media page or a manager. We just focus on making sure the curd is set right and the sweets are fresh. It’s a simple life, but we like being part of the Valam Nagar community. People stop by for their morning milk and a quick chat, which makes the long hours feel a bit shorter.
