About Amarnath Marble – Building & Construction Material in Surat
Our yard is at Sri Dhar Society in Rander. We have been working with marble and stone at number 91 for many years now. You can see the big slabs stacked up from the road. It’s heavy work, moving these stones around. We get all kinds of marble, some from nearby and some from further away. The ground is always covered in white dust from the cutting and polishing. We have a couple of guys who are good with the saws. People from around Rander come to us when they are building new houses or fixing their floors. It’s a messy business, but the end result is always nice to look at. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Everything is out in the open or under a simple shed. You have to walk through the stacks to see the patterns in the stone. We spend a lot of time measuring and marking the slabs before we cut them. Errors are expensive with marble, so we take our time. The neighborhood knows us as the place where there’s always the sound of stone being worked. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. It’s a family-run thing mostly. We like the Rander area; it has a good feel to it. If you need a piece of stone for a kitchen or a floor, we usually have something that fits. We just stay busy with our hammers and grinders all day long.
