Our business is based at Plot No B/19-7-8 in the Hojiwala Industrial Estate. It is a fairly large space where we do all the work for Aerowalk. Most of the people in this area know us for the footwear we put together every day. The estate is always full of activity, with delivery vans and suppliers coming in and out at all hours. Inside our building, it is mostly just rows of workbenches where the staff focuses on the soles and the straps. We do not have any fancy decorations or a big lobby, just the tools and materials needed to get the shoes finished. It gets quite loud when all the machines are running at the same time. We have been doing this for a long time, and the routine does not change much from day to day. We start early in the morning, check our supplies, and get straight to the work. Sometimes the material shipments do not show up on time, which can mess up our schedule, but we always find something else to do. The tea stall just down the road is where we usually go during our afternoon break to get away from the noise for a bit. It is a good place to work, even if it gets a little crowded when we have a lot of finished stock piled up. We just focus on putting the shoes together properly and making sure nothing is loose.
