We've been here at Bani Ring Market for a while now. If you know the Panitanki area in Rourkela, you've probably passed us. It’s a busy spot. Most days start early with the shutter going up and the sound of tools hitting the floor. We aren't a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s mostly just us in our work gear, getting grease on our hands and figuring out how to fix things or put parts together. People from around the district come by when they need something specific done. Sometimes the market gets really crowded, especially around the water tank, but we’re used to the noise. It feels right to be in this part of town. We don’t spend much time on the computer or writing long emails. Usually, it's just a conversation over a cup of tea while looking at a blueprint or a broken machine part. The heat in Rourkela can get pretty bad in the summer, making the workshop feel like an oven, but the work doesn't stop. We just keep at it. It’s a practical life. We know the local shops nearby and the people who run them. There’s a certain way things work here, and we’ve fit into that rhythm over the years. We aren't trying to be something we're not. We just show up at the market, do the engineering work that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down.
