Government (Junior) Science College

We've been here in Kutra for a while now, right in the Sundargarh district. It is a government junior science college, so we focus on the science stream for the students around here. Most people know where the building is. It's not a fancy place, just a regular college where kids from the nearby villages come to finish their higher secondary years. We have the usual labs and classrooms you'd expect. The staff mostly comes in from the surrounding areas every morning. It gets pretty busy during the admission season, especially when the results come out and everyone is trying to figure out their next step. We don't have a lot of extra stuff, just the basics for the syllabus. The grounds are okay, and we try to keep the place running as best as we can with what we have. Some of the teachers have been here for years, and they know the families in the neighborhood well. It is a quiet spot most of the time, except for when classes are changing or during the exams. People just call it the local science college. We handle the paperwork and the daily schedule, making sure the kids have a place to sit and study. It’s a practical setup for the local community here in 770018. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open the gates in the morning and get to work.
