Isibars Ltd.

Isibars Ltd is located right inside the Simplex Township of Bhushan Power and Steel. We’re out here in Sambalpur, Orissa. Being part of a township means the work and life kind of blend together. We’re surrounded by the steel industry. It's a big operation, but our specific corner is Isibars. We handle the bar production and related tasks. The heat from the furnaces is something you never really get used to, but you learn to work around it. Our office is practical. It’s got what we need and not much else. We don't have fancy decorations. Most of us wear work clothes all day because that's what the job requires. It’s a lot of monitoring and making sure the quality is where it needs to be. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big speeches. We just produce the bars and get them shipped out. The roads around here can be rough, and the weather is unpredictable. But the work stays the same. We have a good group of people here who have been working the lines for a long time. We know our business well. It’s just a regular industrial life in Orissa. We show up, we do the shift, and we head home. There is a sense of pride in making things that last, even if we don't talk about it much. It is just the way we have always done things around the township.
