The mill is at 195 in the Op Jindal Industrial Park. Out here in Punjipatra, it feels like a different world. It is all heavy machinery and long industrial sheds. Ajay Ingot Rolling Mill Pvt. Ltd. is a place where things are always moving. The heat from the furnaces is something you never really get used to. We spend our shifts watching the metal being rolled out into shapes. It is loud, and you have to shout to be heard over the sound of the rollers. Samaruma is a quiet village otherwise, but the industrial park is where all the action is. We have people coming in for different shifts at all hours of the night and day. It isn't a place for a white-collar job. Our boots are always heavy with dust and grease. There is a small canteen where we go to get some water or a quick bite. The yard is full of raw materials waiting to be processed. We just keep the machines running and try to make sure everything stays on track. It is a lot of responsibility to keep a mill like this going. The trucks come and go from the main gate constantly. It is just the daily grind of the industrial sector out here. We don't have many visitors. It is mostly just the workers and the sound of the steel.
