Bpsl Orissa

Down here in Orissa, we are known as Bpsl Orissa. We are located right in the Bhushan Power & Steel Limited Township. It’s situated in the village of Thelkoloi in the Sambalpur district. Being located inside a company township means we are right in the middle of all the industrial action. It’s a long way from the big cities, but it’s where the actual work happens. Most of us live and work right here in the township. It’s a very tight-knit community here in Thelkoloi. The township has pretty much everything we need for our daily lives, so we don't have to make the trip into Sambalpur too often unless it’s for something really major. We deal with the power and steel side of things, as you can probably guess from the Bpsl name. It’s heavy, demanding work and the days can be quite long, especially when the weather gets really hot outside. But we have a good, steady rhythm going. We aren't really a flashy or high-profile business. We are just part of the Bpsl family out here in the village. There is almost always noise coming from the plant and trucks moving around the township, but you get used to it after a week or two. We take a lot of pride in just getting the job done without making a big fuss or using fancy words. It’s a very practical, hardworking life out here in Orissa. We aren't big on talking about ourselves much, we just show up and do what needs doing every day.
