Tiara Cutting & Tailoring Institute

At Tiara Cutting & Tailoring Institute, we spend our days teaching people how to sew and cut fabric. We are located on 90 Feet Road in Ahmed Nagar, right in the Buchpora area of Srinagar. It’s a busy road and easy to find. The room is usually full of the sound of sewing machines and people talking about patterns. We have several machines set up for the students to practice on. It isn’t a fancy school, just a practical place where people come to learn a skill. We show them how to measure correctly and how to use the scissors without wasting cloth. Most of our students are from nearby neighborhoods and want to learn tailoring for work or for their own homes. We have piles of fabric scraps everywhere and threads of all different colors. The lighting is good because you need to see the stitches clearly. We've been here for a while now. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the weather is bad, but usually, there is a lot of activity. We don't have a big office or anything, just the work tables and the machines. People come here to work hard and learn. It’s a very hands-on environment. If you walk down 90 Feet Road, you’ll see our sign. We just keep things simple and focus on the sewing. It is a busy little place where everyone stays focused on their fabric and needles.
