Subhana Shawls

We are based over in Ratha Pora Eidgah. Subhana Shawls has been around this neighborhood for quite some time. We handle different kinds of shawls, mostly the stuff you see people wearing when it gets cold. The area around Eidgah is always interesting, especially during certain times of the year. Our place isn't big or shiny. It's just where we keep the stock and where we sit down to talk with whoever comes by. We spend a lot of time looking at patterns and fabrics. It's a quiet sort of work most of the time. Sometimes we have a lot of people coming in at once, and other times it's just us and the fabric. We don't really do big speeches about what we do. We just know about shawls and that's what we offer. The room is usually full of stacks of folded wool and pashmina. It smells a certain way, like old fabric and maybe some tea we made. People know where to find us in Ratha Pora. It's a local thing, really. We don't use much technology here, just the basic stuff to keep track of what's going out. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We like the community here and how everyone knows everyone. If you need a shawl, this is where we are, right by the Eidgah. It’s been our home for years and we don't plan on moving.
