Our company is Kaeshur Aathi Cashmere Pashmina Private Limited. We are located on the ground floor of Tariq Ahmad Sofi’s place in Saidpora. It’s specifically in Shalimar Colony, Lane No 3, in Srinagar 190011. Being in Shalimar is great because of the history of the area. We work with cashmere and pashmina, which are very traditional here. Our workspace is pretty simple. We have the ground floor set up for handling the goods. It’s not a big factory, just a place where we can inspect the shawls and do the packing. Since it’s a residential area, it’s mostly quiet except for the local kids playing in the lane. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just focus on the pashmina we get and make sure it’s what it’s supposed to be. Tariq stays here and helps keep things running smoothly. We’ve been in Srinagar for a long time, and our families have always been around this kind of work. It’s more of a way of life than just a job for us. We handle the paperwork ourselves and try to keep things organized despite the small space. If you find yourself in Lane No 3, you’ll see our small sign. We’re just local folks trying to keep the pashmina tradition going through our little private limited company. It’s honest work and we enjoy it.
