Our office for Dream Ways Education Consultancy is in Beehama, Ganderbal. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Alamdar High School which is a well-known landmark in this part of Srinagar. It’s a nice area, quite green and usually a bit cooler than the main city center. We spend our days helping students figure out where they want to go for their studies. It can be quite stressful for them, so we try to keep the atmosphere in the office very calm and relaxed. We have a few desks and lots of brochures from different colleges scattered around. Sometimes the internet is a bit spotty which makes looking things up a bit slow, but we manage. My colleagues and I have been doing this for a while and we know how the system works. We aren't a big international firm with glass buildings. We are just local people who know the schools around here. We often see the students from Alamdar High School walking past our window on their way home. It makes the place feel lively. We usually have some tea or coffee ready for anyone who comes in to chat about their future. It is rewarding work in a way, seeing people get excited about their plans. We just keep things simple and try to give honest advice based on what we know. Ganderbal is a good place to be based for this kind of work and we enjoy being here.
