Parminder Agro Farm Private Limited

If you head out to Village Varingkhera in the Malout area, you will find our farm. We are in the Muktsar district of Punjab. Parminder Agro Farm Private Limited is basically our family’s life. We have been working this land for a long time. It’s not like those big companies in the city with suits and ties. We wear boots and spend most of our time in the fields. The weather is our biggest boss. If it rains too much or not enough, our whole plan for the week changes. We have a few tractors that we try to keep running, though they are getting old now. Malout is the nearest town where we go for supplies or to sell what we grow. The village is quiet, and everybody knows whose land is whose. We have a small office space at the farm, but it’s mostly filled with tools and seeds. Sometimes we sit under the trees to discuss what to plant next. It’s hard work and your hands are always dirty. There isn't any fancy mission statement here. We just want to grow our crops and make sure the farm stays healthy for the next year. Life moves a bit slower in Varingkhera. We deal with the electricity cuts and the heat just like everyone else around here. It’s a practical way of living, tied to the soil.
