Down in Village Khapianwali, life revolves around the land and the crops we grow. Our office for Modesta Farmer Producer Company Limited is right here in the Sri Muktsar Sahib area. It’s a quiet spot, mostly surrounded by greenery and the sound of machines every now and then. We started this because a lot of us in the village needed a way to organize things better. We aren't trying to be some big city corporation. We are just local people who know how things work in this specific part of Punjab. The building we use is simple and fits in with the rest of the village. Usually, you’ll find a few of us sitting around talking about the weather or the price of supplies. There is always something to fix or a form that needs filling out. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. If you come looking for us, you just ask for the place near the main village path. It gets hot here in the summer, and we spend a lot of time just trying to stay productive despite the heat. Being in the Muktsar block means we see a lot of the same faces every day. We handle the business side of things so the focus can stay on the actual farming. It’s hard work and it doesn't always go as planned, but that is just the way it is here. We just try to keep things moving forward without making too much of a fuss about it.
