If you come through Lakshmipuram, you’ll see our place easily enough. It’s a simple setup. We focus on millets because that is what grows well in our soil and what the local farmers know best. We are a producer company, so it’s all about the people who are actually out in the sun every day. We don't use big words or have complicated meetings. We just sit down and talk about the harvest. The house number 2-32 is where we keep our records and meet with the members. It gets a bit dusty in the dry season and a bit muddy when the rains come, but that’s normal life for us. We started this because it felt like the right thing to do for the village. We wanted a way for the millet growers to have a bit more say in how things are handled.
