Sun Jobs

If you look up while you’re walking past the Bata showroom on Bank Street in Munirka, you’ll see us on the second floor. 383-1/B is the door number. Sun Jobs is basically just a few rooms filled with desks and people talking on their phones all day. It gets pretty loud in here when everyone is trying to explain job roles to people. The stairs leading up are a bit steep, so it’s a good workout if the power is out and the lift isn't working. Munirka is always buzzing, and Bank Street is right in the middle of all that chaos. We have people coming in all the time, some looking for work and others just asking for directions because they’re lost. We’ve got folders stacked on every available surface. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but we have our own system that seems to work fine. The air conditioner makes a bit of a rattling noise, but it keeps the heat away. We spend a lot of time reading through papers and trying to match names with roles. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of listening. We don’t have a big corporate lobby with fancy magazines and soft music. Usually, people just sit on the plastic chairs and wait their turn. It’s a bit basic, but it’s real work. We’re just a small team trying to help people find something to do in this big city without making things too complicated.
