Our shop is tucked away in Kashmiri Market over in Sector-1, R K Puram. If you know Shop No-9, that’s where you’ll find us. It’s a small space but we make it work for everything we do. The market here has a specific feel to it, lots of local energy and people moving about all day long. We’ve been here for quite some time now, so we know most of the other shop owners nearby. The mornings are usually a bit quiet while everyone is setting up, then it gets busier as the day goes on. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just a counter, some shelves, and a couple of chairs for when someone needs to sit down. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps us cool during the Delhi summers. We usually get our lunch from one of the nearby stalls because the food is good and it’s quick. It’s a very grounded way to work. We handle whatever comes through the door without making a big fuss about things. Being in R K Puram is nice because it feels more like a community than just a business district. You get used to the sounds of the market and the rhythm of the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing every day. It’s a simple setup and it suits us just fine.
