New Agrawal Traders

We share the NCUI Building with a lot of other offices, located on the third floor in the Siri Institutional Area. It is a massive place and sometimes it feels like a whole city inside one building. Our space is pretty basic. We have got some desks pushed together and a lot of shelves for our records. Being traders, our day is mostly spent on the phone, trying to coordinate things and making sure deliveries are moving. It is a lot of talking and a lot of waiting. The building itself has that institutional feel, with wide corridors and heavy doors that slam shut with a loud bang. We get a bit of light from the windows that face the inner courtyard, but it is mostly fluorescent lights for us. We do not have any fancy signs or expensive rugs. It is just a place to sit and work. You can hear the sounds of other offices through the walls, sometimes a typewriter or a loud printer. We usually head out for a quick lunch at one of the small stalls nearby because the canteen gets too crowded. It is a simple life. We come in, check the prices, talk to our contacts, and try to keep things moving. There is always a stack of invoices that needs signing and a cup of tea that has gone cold on someone’s desk. We have been here a while and the routine is what keeps us going through the week.
