Our office is situated in Dwarka, New Delhi, at Sector-9. We’re in Flat No. 613 of the Krishna Apartment building on Plot 13. Dwarka is quite different from the older parts of Delhi; the roads are wider and things feel a bit more spread out. At Hilti India Pvt Ltd, we enjoy the fact that it’s a bit less cramped here. The 110045 area is mostly residential, so it stays relatively quiet during the day while everyone is off at work. Our office is basically a converted flat, which gives it a more personal, homey feel than a typical commercial building. We have a small kitchen area where we make our own tea and coffee, and the rooms have been turned into workspaces. Sometimes we can hear the neighbors or the sound of the elevators in the hallway. It’s a very practical arrangement for us. We spend a lot of time on our computers and talking on the phone, keeping things moving as best we can. The view from the sixth floor gives us a decent look at the surrounding blocks and the sky. It’s a simple, honest setup where we don't feel the need to be overly formal. It’s just us, doing our jobs in a regular apartment building in a quiet corner of Dwarka. We usually head home once the day's tasks are mostly finished, avoiding the worst of the evening rush if we can.
