Foundation For Peace & Sustainable Developmen

The Foundation For Peace & Sustainable Developmen is based over at Rz-A-1/131-B, Vijay Encl, right on Palam Rd. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but we’ve made a home for ourselves here. The office is usually filled with stacks of documents and books about environmental stuff and social issues. We aren't doing anything flashy. Most days are just spent writing reports or talking to people about how to make the community a bit better. Palam Rd is always loud with trucks and buses passing by, so we have to keep the windows shut most of the time. It gets a bit stuffy in here, but we have a small cooler that helps. We are just a few people trying to work on peace and making things sustainable. We don't have any big corporate funding or fancy furniture. Most of our chairs are mismatched and the paint is peeling a little near the door. It’s a practical space for the kind of work we do. We’ve been in Vijay Encl long enough that the local shopkeepers know us by name. We just show up and do our part, trying to stay focused on the tasks at hand. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we decided to do. We don't have any grand missions statements pinned to the wall, just a calendar and some maps of the local area.
