Our yard for Eden Marbles Pvt. Ltd. is located at 348 Sultanpur, right on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road. If you know that stretch of road, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and cars zooming by at all hours. We have a lot of heavy stone slabs sitting around the property. It’s a dusty job, and your boots are never really clean when you work here. We spend most of our time moving marble pieces around with the crane or talking to people who stop by looking for something specific for their floors or counters. The sun can get pretty hot out on the lot during the summer months. We have a small office area where we keep the ledgers and handle the phone calls, but most of the real work happens outside. It's noisy because of the traffic and the sound of stone being moved, so you have to speak up a bit to be heard. We’ve been at this location for quite a few years and the building has seen better days, but it holds up. We aren't trying to be fancy with a showroom or anything. We just have the stone, the tools, and a bit of space to work. People find us because they know the address or they see the stacks of marble from the main road. It’s a tough business, but it’s what we do and it keeps us occupied from morning until evening.
